Sycamore
Welcome to Sycamore Class
This term our topic is Heroic Humans and Sensational Safari where the children will learn about Florence Nightingale and her remarkable life. In Sensational Safari they will learn about Africa, taking a more in depth look at Kenya, where they will find Kenya on the map and what it would be like to live there.
In English we will be looking at information texts, including fact files as well as looking in more detail at story writing using the text of 'The Owl Who Was Afraid Of The Dark' by Jill Tomlison. In Mathematics we will be learning
- Multiplication and division
- Fractions
- Statistics
- Properties of shape.
P.E days are Monday and Thursday. Some of our PE will take place outside so please make sure your child comes to school in their PE kit and appropriately dressed.
Homework is given out on Friday and should be handed in the following Wednesday. The spelling test is on Friday, please support your child by practising together
